Splitting walls into angled surfaces?

Anonymous

Hi,

Is there an easy way to split walls into angled sections for different textures?
See picture...
Many thanks!

Yeah pretty easy, just create a facade stamp ! Follow these steps and use image as reference.

1. In section create morph elements as per your facade material "split"
2. extrude morph by a bit, my example 1 meter
3. move morph elements to overlap wall by 1mm and use SEO. ( make sure on new target surface to use inherit from operator )
4. Hide layer with morph on it = Result !

Ok my above suggestion has a flaw ! Just noticed that it cuts of the window sills too, so that's no good. I got a better solution for this now and thought I show this off in my weekly ASM coffee tip.

Splitting up facade materials, is sometimes necessary to create the CGI the client is after. I show you a simple way to do this, any split/shapes you want, represented on your facade.
