Stairs modeling: how to make Flight - Stringers lower than Tread

Anonymous
Not applicable
The wish is to model stairs that has ~10cm flight stringer and tread finish slips over it (like in the picture). However stair reference line is at the top of a stringer.
Don't know why, but nosing tool doesn't work as well.
Maybe I'm not seeing something?

Yes, it seems there is a (maybe unnecessary) limitation that the Stringer cannot go below the Treads, so the "Height above Treads" field does not allow a negative value.
In the case of Landings, I say I would even understand this limitation, but in the case of Flights, it seems unnecessary to me.
I will forward this to Graphisoft for their consideration.

I don't have Archicad running at the moment to test, but try using beams instead of stringers.

Barry.
Thank you, it needs calculations to match the points, but it helps to reach the needed result!
