Stupid Question re. Zones

I've not used zones before, but I have ranted about the pathetic AC manuals which are useless to me and my feeble mind for this. I used the auto recognition method to define the area. The label I defined shows on the plan. In the Zone Selection Settings no area calculations are shown. The Zone Stamp area of the dialogue box states "Not avail. in loaded libraries". I have the AC 8 library loaded. What the *bleep* am I missing??

Here's the plan view. Actually, I've found that if I choose any of my other categories, the label will show the zone name. Is there some special override with GROSS AREA?

OK, sorry. The screen capture creates a pdf. I have to convert to jpeg in Photoshop and can resize then. Am I missing a quicker, more direct method? (Why is your original quote not showing here? I highlighted it before replying. Guess I'd better read up a bit on using this forum.)

Click "quote" in the top right corner of the other person's message. A reply form will open and their message will be quoted in it.

You can also open the pdf in Preview and export it as jpg. I use a contextual menu called QuickImage (freeware, from VersionTracker, AFAIK) which gives you a pop-up that converts formats and size of image etc. very quickly & easily (I'm using 10.2.8 at the moment, not sure about 10.3).

But back to the subject - sorry, I can't really think of any other simple solutions, not such a "Stupid Question" after all Perhaps it's due to the definition of the Zone Category Geoffroy mentioned a few posts ago?
Good luck. Kenny.

Yes - I seem to remember having that problem earlier this year. Gross area doesn't do room names, because it's assumed to contain overall zones, not specific ones.

That's what I concluded, anyway
