The open dialog box when I launch ArchiCAD

Simple question...

When I launch ArchiCAD I used to be presented with a dialog box asking what I wanted to open. However there I was a checkbox that gave me the option of skipping the dialog and I used it hoping that I could open the application without opening or creating a file.

Unfortunately now when I open the application I get a new project every time and I have to close it, and I'm unable to locate the option to have it prompt me when I open the application again. How do I change back to the way it worked before?

Thanks in advance.

I just had this problem yesterday.
So the other answer is:
If you set the Work Environment back to Standard Profile, the StartUp Dialog will again be displayed when you start ArchiCAD.

So now my ArchiCAD 17 has stopped showing the Start ArchiCAD dialog box;

- I didn't select the "Do not Display the Dialog Next Time" box
- I can no longer find the "Options/Work Environment/Enable all informational messages..."
- I've reset the work environment to Standard out of the box and for some reason it won't stick. The "User Preference Schemes" and "Palette Schemes" will let me apply the Standard schemes but after I hit OK and re-open the Work Environment settings they have gone back to "Custom".

Anyone else getting this?

I just recently installed Hotfix 6.

OK. So I've had to use the "New & Reset All" command from the menu but to get to it you have to hold ALT down while selecting the menu command otherwise it is hidden behind the "New..." menu.

Move along. Nothing to see here.
