It has just occured to me that many people are unaware that you can redefine display option combinations, so I would like to explain how simple it is:

In the Display Options dialog, select the Display Option Combination you would like to change from the drop down list;

Make any changes you want;

Hit the Save As... button and delete the word 'copy' *and the space that precedes it*;

Hit Save;

Hit Replace in the next dialog;

Hit OK.

Any views that are using that display option combination will be automatically updated.

Cheers,

it never used to 'redefine' itself if you did this: it (AC8? 8.1?) used to throw up the "same name..." message. i tried it recently too, and found what you've discovered.

you beat me to the tip though, no.2 . . .
