Transfer custom property data via sample and inject

gdford

If looks like I should be able to transfer custom property data via sample and inject but for the life of me i can not get this to work. I have been testing this on Morphs. I have the element transfer setting set to everything.
Am I missing something here?

It works fine using slabs.
Why does this not work with Morphs?

Check your Element Transfer Settings. It is accessible by clicking the cogwell button in the Favorites Palette.
Maybe "Classification and Properties" is checked to be transferred for Slabs, but not checked for Morphs.

nope - that was the first thing i checked - it is checked for morphs but does not transfer!
I assume this has been broken.

Hi Gary,

What exactly doesn't transfer through sample and inject? Any of the settings or just perhaps the finishes? If so - morphs can have individual surfaces overridden and when you would apply new settings to the morph in general, then I believe, specific settings wouldn't transfer to modified/ overridden sub-elements.

So does the Saving of Favorites and the Inject Properties work of the same Element Transfer Settings list?

Ok - here is the drill.....
I have custom Properties via the Properties Manager assigned to a morph.
I have my data loaded into the properties that have bee assigned to the morph.
If I drag/copy the morph with my properties I will now have two morphs (Morph A and Morph B) both of which have my property data exactly the same.
So now I change the data in Morph A in one of the Properties and I then sample Morph A and Inject Morph B.
The Morph B property data does not change. It still has the original data... sample/Inject does not transfer the property data between morphs that have exactly the same property data structure.
If I do exactly the same thing with Slabs the property data is transferred with the sample/inject.
For both slabs and morphs the sample/inject transfer settings both have a check box for properties and in both instances the transfer settings are set to include properties in the transfer.....
For Morphs the property data will not transfer.... I assume this is a bug.
Does anyone know anything about this?
Thanks

This is odd.
For me it is working fine with morphs as well as slabs.
I just classified the morph as a slab (shouldn't matter what it is classified as).
Changed a couple of the property values and they transferred fine.
I just used the properties that were there (combustible and thermal transmittance), not a custom property that I had created.
But I shouldn't think that would make a difference.

Archicad 24 - still on build 3022.

Mine are custom properties and they don't transfer.
Thanks
