I would like to know if it is possible to rotate the materials on walls. I would like to indicate vertical siding not horizontal which are the only choices I have, suggestions please, thank you?

You can "Align textures" in the 3D views but you will need to do this for each surface.

Your best bet would be to duplicate the horizontal siding material and call it vertical.
Make sure the texture and/or fill pattern are rotated by 90° and then use that when ever you need it.
