Weird roof projection

Foti
Enthusiast

Hello

Was cleaning up my model and I kept noticing some weird volumes that I couldn't select, finally found the source, but i have never seen this before. I use the roof tool to make the roofs, I didn't notice this before but it seems the roof projects the perimeter volume down pasted the editing plane. Ill attach a video and some images.

That looks like you have the trimming bodies turned on.

It is an on-screen view option.

It will affect only what you see on screen, not any outputs (prints).

That was a rookie mistake, 😞 not even sure when or how I may have turned it on. What would be the purpose of that projected body?

So you can see what will or won't be affected when you use the 'Connection > Trim' option to trim walls to the roof.

Only the part of the walls inside that cutting body will be affected.
