backup file location - removing from main directory

Anonymous
Not applicable
Hey all,
is it possible to store the backup file, in a sub directory named backup or whatever (by default)
i'm so over figuring out which is the main file or backup, every time I open a file.

No, the backup file lives in the same location as the current file.
However, in your Windows OS, turn off the option to "Hide extensions for known file types".
That way you will see what is .PLN and .BPN
Also notice the default file icon is slightly different - the one with the red arrow is the backup.

Turning on file extensions is the first thing I do when I install an OS. Makes locating the right file so much easier, and sometimes your OS will not automatically assign a default program to less common file types so that saves time trying to figure out the format.
