beam object used not can not be seen within an "opening"?WHY

created a profile.
using it as a "beam" to create a trim around an opening.
the trim wraps around the opening in a wall........YET.....the beam is cut off by the actual opening.............why?

why is the "beam object" not visible within an "opening" in a wall?

Rob,
Profile needs to be on a layer with different intersection priority number than the wall and have a 'stronger' building material than the wall

PS: as this is a user forum getting an answer can sometimes take days as most people only review the forum and provide answers out of hours

I did what you suggested. i totally forgot bout the "layer priority status" factor. So just for the record, I was able to bump the layer which contained the trim beams and it worked. Now they are seen "within" a wall opening.

Thanks for your help I didn't have to increase the building materials priority, just the layer priority for it to take effect.
