insulation symbol fill at 1:100 and 1:5

Anonymous

Hi all,

I love using the insulation symbol fill in composite walls when showing details at 1:5 - the nice curvy figure-of-eight style, and have got this working well on both walls and roof at correct angles by assigning a skin pattern as the symbol fill "insulation01" and Fill Orientation as "fit to skin"

however when I view / print this at 1:100, the insulation lines are so dense it just prints solid black.

How can I assign a fill so if I want to view it at 1:5 it uses the symbol fill "insulation01" and if I want to view it at 1:100 it auto-switches to a paper-scale diagonal hatch?

thanks
Christopher

Christopher,

If you use a comparable Vectorial Fill instead of a Symbol Fill (Insulation 01) your problem may be solved. Vectorial fills adjust with the view scale, Symbol
fills do not. You could also use the Renovation filter to apply different fill overrides for different views. Model View Options also allow you to override fill
displays but only with Solid Fills.
