My company has sold a home to a group of english businessmen who are building homes in spain. they are purchasing houses from us, which we are converting to metric. we are not changing the framing plans to a metric layout, just the dimensions (direct conversion). my question is this: can i convert the text to spanish? is there a translator or a font conversion of some sort.

Automatic conversion/translation of all text is not possible in ArchiCAD. Even if it were, auto-translators are barely reliable enough for trivial work let alone construction/contract documents. You will probably need to bite the bullet and hire skilled translation services. You should also be sure that your spanish partner will indemnify you against problems arising from translation errors or find some way to ensure that the translation is consistent with your intent.

This is a situation that really shows the potential value of keynotes.
