ok I have been with Archicad since 6.5 version. Now what make layers turn off when you switch from 2d to 3d and from 3d to 2d. Never had that happen before on other versions.

If you are using the View Map to change between views then the layers (as well as scale, pen set, model view options and more) may change as these are all saved with the view when it is created.

If you are using the Project Map or keyboard shortcuts or menus or tool bar icons to change views then all should stay the same in each.

Not the project map settings just the F2, F3 buttons used should not affect the layers but does, it may be cadimage coverings. I just noticed that when i had the layer turned off that the roof eves and sofits from cadimage layer was off the layers seem to stay on or off when jumping from 3d to 2d
