problem with double clicking text

Anonymous

a work mate can't double click her text, select it or edit it.

when hovering over the text its very hard to select it.

also we did figure out that if you finally click the text and right click on it and select the 'select and activate tool' you are able to edit the text.

we just want to be able to double click the text and edit it.

is there a setting thats not selected?

Sounds like quick selection is deactivated. If you go to the arrow tool, the magnet button needs to be depressed for quick selection to be activated. It's best to keep it on at all times.

Holding down the space bar will temporarily activate/deactivate it.

Hi there,

Anybody having this problem of text being difficult to double click in order to edit? The quick selection is of course deactivated. I believe I notice this since the recent update to AC20 Build 4012

Quick Selection needs to be active for this to work, either by activating it in the Info Box, or holding down the Space Bar if inactive.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
