Hi,

I was wondering if somebody would be able to explain this request function in a bit of detail?
I've read the reference guide but I still don't completely understand what its use it although I continue to come across it.

There was a bug in the GDL manual - I am not sure if it is corrected - AFIR there was "" mark missing somewhere. (it took me some time to figure it out when I first used this command years ago)

It can be used in labels&markers and can read the value of the parameters of the labeled object...that's all.
What is Your problem with it?
