roof slope across two directions

Hi,

Is it possible to slope a roof (or any other tool) across two directions - so front to back but also side to side? I can only get a single plane roof to slope in one direction. I'm using SE18.

Thanks

As in pitch and yaw?

I have never heard the term yaw before, but after looking it up I think that is what I mean.

Since the pitching line of a roof must be level, you effectively want a roof that has a pitch that matches the intersection of 2 roofs, matching your two slope amounts. Draw a multi-pitch roof. Modify the pitches of two adjacent sides to have your two slope amounts. Draw a single-pitch roof perpendicular to the intersection of the two sides that you modified.

The Beam tool has a sloped and profile rotation option. Cannot remember if the option was there in AC18 though... Though this would be pitch and roll and you would have less control over the overall shape.

Curious if you ever got this to work?

Barry outlined a easy way to do this in 3D a few years ago in this post.
