saving an object into the embedded library

Hello.
I am trying to copy an object I modelled from one Archicad file to another. the object is made up of multiple elements (slabs with various textures).
I read I can do this by saving the object into the embedded library. I managed to save it, but when opening the embedded library into another file, there is no object.
Where does the problem lie?
Thank you.

Once you have saved your elements as an object you can either ...

Place an instance of your object in the plan where you created it.
Then simply copy and paste it to another file and you will see in in the plan and it will also be in the embedded library of that file too.

Or ...

In the Library manager of the file you crated the object in, select the object in the embedded library and use the 'Export' button to save it to your hard drive (or network location).
Then in your other file in Library Manager 'Import' that file in.
Now it will be in the embedded library there and you can place in in your plan.

Another option is to simply copy and paste the elements from one file to the other - completely by-passing the need to save as an object at all.

Thank you for your help. I copied and pasted the object and it worked. It doesn't appear in the embedded library of the second file, even if the object is there, but it doesn't matter!
Thank you.

It should do unless you have saved in in your loaded (network or hard-drive) library.
