Sequential numbering

I want to create a simple shape that displays an increasing number.

I tried the following, but it does not work

Any suggestions?

Sorry, that example is not relevant to the title, something has mixed up.
If the element ID (of anything, not just GDL objects) contain a number before placement, it will be auto-incremented after placement in the info box.

You just need to show that ID from GDL:
text2 0,0, GLOB_ID

Hi Peter,

Sorry, I don't know why the example is not relevant to the title... maybe I'm missing something? The link is about an object that displays a number that increases with each placement. That is exactly what I want to do, but following the instructions I didn't get that result...
Anyway, thanks to your suggestion I was able to display the number, but after 9, it goes to 0 and then starts over again... Why is this happening?

Thanks

That article is titled as increasing a displayed text number, but it is actually about increasing a Hotspot ID number.
Nothing to do with text.
Peter explained the procedure as you have used.

Make the first ID number 01 or 001 instead of just 1.
The more zeros (numerals) you have, the further you will get before it resets.
