3D Grass is not showing

Anonymous

I have this problem on a single mesh, however when I render the entire surrounding, the grass is showing flat. I have carefully watched the Archicad video for the 3D Grass settings, I applied everything as shown, but unfortunately it doesn't work. I don't know what could be the problem.

Hi,

Thank you for the question and I am very sorry about the issue!

I believe this is a known limitation, that was documented here: https://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/knowledgebase/75954/

As I saw that you had a big area of Grass, this could be the case with CineRender. Unfortunately, it is a limitation with the engine.

Thank you for your understanding! Let me know if it helps with the issue!

Best regards,
Minh

Looking at the size of that mesh, using the 3D grass option is going to take a very long time to render, I would guess.

I didn't know that it had limitation with the engine. I just hoped it worked also with big areas of Grass.
The mesh rendered pretty fast, although it was quite big and plus with 3D grass.
I was a bit disappointed when I saw it's only half with grass.

Nevertheless, thank you for the help.

To overcome this limit, create more the 1 grass material. Close to camera have more grass blades, further away from camera less grass blades.
