3d display has gone completely black, how do i fix it?

Have you tried opening a View? Is it an isolated issue? Have you restarted?

Are both the Sky and Ground set to Black in the 3D Styles Dialog?

Change the '3D Style' from 'Hardware Acceleration' to 'Vectorial Engine' in the 3D window.

If that now appears OK, then I would suspect a video card/driver issue.

Update video drivers and make sure you are not using any built-in (mother-board) video card.
