AC23- Find and Select

I recently upgraded from AC19, so I'm grumbling a lot about all the changes I'm catching up on.
I can't figure out how to make Find and Select work. I will set the criteria for the lines that I want to select in a marquee, hit the '+', and nothing.
Any thoughts?

** UPDATE** Find & Select works fine for me in the floor plan window. The problem I have is in an elevation window, selecting pasted 2D lines.

Are you sure they are lines and not polylines or splines?
