ArchiCAD25 Theatre Project

I just watched the webinar on how the advertised project on the Archicad 25 start-up screen was made, but I didn't see or hear anything on how they modeled that exterior shape of the theatre.  I was wondering what tool they used.  The envelope consultant detailed it in Rhino, but what was used for the initial design from the Architect's perspective.  Does anyone know or have some advice on how something like the exterior skin would be modeled for the new theatre located within the school?  It seems for general massing, a different tool may be able to be used.  What would you do for general massing just to get the idea across?  For working drawings and coordination with trades, the Archicad tool would have to be very capable of making those organic shapes.  What tool would you use for working drawings if you would use another tool?

Hey folks!

For the general massing, we can achieve this with the Morph or even the Shell tool. For a more detailed model, however, we can use Shell or Grasshopper-Archicad connection. Another approach is to model the geometry in Rhino and hotlink it to Archicad, where other elements (slabs, internal walls, equipments etc) can be added.

In this video you can peak a bit on their modeling/coordination process: https://vimeo.com/571848793

Hope this can give you some insights.

Cheers,
