Custom stair treads not showing correctly in 2D symbol

I've created a special stair, using custom stair treads and risers (draw with morph, save as custom object (tread/riser)). It looks perfect in 3D, but the custom treads and (long) risers don't show up in de 2D representation symbol.

I have already added "PROJECT2 3, 270, 2" to the 2D script of the elements, but that did not make any difference. Oddly enough, the other custom risers (L-shaped) do show up correctly... The adjusted landings also show correctly, but these were changed using the stair tool edit mode, not replaced by custom objects...

Any tips?

Hi,

I have received some info from GS HQ related to this issue.
You problem probably stems from the fact that your custom Treads/Risers are outside the Floor Plan boundaries of the original Stair and this is the reason why those customs Treads/Risers are not displayed.
Try to model the Stair so it is as wide as the planned custom Treads/Risers. This way all the custom geometry will be within the original Stair boundaries and then the 2D display of those Treads/Risers should be correct.

Hello,

I have a similar problem:

  • Custom treads a bit wider than the stair structure
  • Made via Edit Mode scaling > Morph conversion > GDL tread
  • In the Floor plan they are as wide as the stair structure
  • In 3D they are wider than the stair structure

Although I understand your solution, this doesn't help because then the 3D view is wrong.
