Different model colors in different stages of building

Hello All!

I am trying to figure out, how to maintain BIM process in renovation. I have made original state of structure (Church's Gate) and now I need to make simulation with "original-historical colors". How to mantain original structure and have another colors in another stage, without building or copying the same structure again.

Best Regards,
Karol

and that would be easy if you were in AC20 using Graphic Overrides but since you are in 19 check if you can use Renovation Styles to switch the materials.

If on 20 then this is what I would do:
1, Create an Archicad Property for --Paint Options-- and use an Option Set to define different types (Type-01, 02, etc)
2. Would create Graphic Override rules for, all 3D objects that have Paint Type X change Material to YY

Alternative you could avoid using AC Properties and just do rules that go:
-- Element Type is Wall
-- Surface is XX
-----
Change Material to YY

Whatever is easier
