My dimensions change when adding a wall.

Is this the correct function?

All I can think of is that dimensions are associated to nodes (or a unique ID of the nodes that we can't see).

When you add the new wall, it must be upsetting the nodes in some way (re-numbering the IDs?) as the walls will all try to trim automatically to each other.

The nodes should all still be there (i.e. at the corner) even when the wall do re-trim.

To me this should not be happening.

It is definitely something to report to your local Archicad support people.

If you hover your mouse over the dimension node, you should see the element highlight, to show what the dimension is associated to.

Do this to the dimension node that moves before you add the wall and again after.

This may give you some clue what the dimension is associated to.
