Drawing manager best practices

Hello,
I am currently working in a big project and sometimes I need to transfer the file into my laptop for the client view. As soon as I open the file in the laptop I am getting all the errors on the drawing manger saying that I am missing the link or the link is broken. The laptop format IS EXACTLY THE DESKTOP as far as the directories and files structure. What am I missing? I want to be able to transfer the file seamlessly without re-link again all the files on my desktop after making cnahges with the client!!
Thank you in advance for all your responses.
Best,
DDJUSA

There must be something different about the pathnames. There may be ways to sort this out but it depends on the details of your setup.

On the other hand it doesn't really matter if the links are active on the laptop. The data is still all there and the links should work just fine when copied back to the source machine.

Matthew,
Thank you. The double posting was an oversight.. Sorry.

I will try to ignore the error after putting it back into the original machine.

Thank you again for your response.
