Elevation/Section/IE Vectorial 3D Hatching Settings

Hi there,

How can you control/change the pen types for vectorial 3D hatching in Sections/Elevations/Interior Elevations?

See attached screen shot, the only option is to change the pen type for uncut contours, which will change the vectorial 3d hatching but also the contours with it.

hence how can the hatching be changed on its own? (especially for illegibility)

There must be a way!

Cheers

You can control the pen of just the surface hatch in the surface settings dialogue.

Thanks Barry!

But there is still something else overriding it or something?
See attached screenshots.
Slab has surface - Timber04
Surface settings for - Timber04 - I have changed the pen as you said.
But you can see the hatching is a black pen and not grey as I selected.

Any other thoughts?

Much appreciated

In your section settings you need to turn off the "Uniform pen colour for uncut contours".

It's a good idea to dedicate a pen just for these surface elements. Set all surfaces to use this pen and then you can change them all in one spot. If the hatches are too light or dark just redefine the pen and everything updates everywhere.

This is something I happen to do in my custom templates.
