Highlight custom dimensions

Anonymous
Not applicable
We have a file supplied by an external consultant, and have discovered that some dimensions have been overridden with custom text rather than keeping the measured value, and just drawing correctly! (A pet hate!)

We know about the 'Revert all custom texts to measured value' tool, but then we wouldn't know which dimensions have changed. Is it possible to set up a graphic override like you can for static dimensions, or a find and select option, or something else; to highlight the dimensions that have been set to custom?

Cheers!

I don't know of an automatic way but,
You could:
- Make a copy of the layout.
- Set the copy to "Manual rebuild"
- Go to View and "Revert all custom texts to measured value"
- Go the the orig. layout and update it.
- Set the layout copy to "view as trace ref."
- Set the trace to a red pen.
- Look for red.

Note: You may have to globally turn off text backgrounds.
In my screen shot, the copy had the backgrounds on.

Save before you try this... just in case.

For future projects, ask the consultant to assign
custom dimensions to a RED pen
(set to print in black).

Great idea, thanks (and apologies for the late reply!)
