How can I use a sum of values as a parameter for further operations?

Hello everybody!

Topic: design of a condo.

- I create a property for zones that indicates the cut typology of each apartments (i.e. 2,5 means the ap. has a room and a living room, 3,5 means two rooms and a living room, and so on).

- Then I created another property that tells how many people can live in each typology (i.e. for a 2,5 ap. I can have 2 inhabitants, for a 3,5 ap. I can have 3, and so on).

Now I can have the total number of inhabitants by using a schedule, but can I use that number for further operations? I can't find a way.

Can I create an expression that sums all the inhabitants and stores the value as a number so that I can use that number as a parameter?

AFAIK - No.

Expressions can only address the parameters of the element to which they are attached. You could use either a C++ AddOn or a Python script. For this application the Python script would be simple and quick.
