Interior Elevation Marker stretch...here we go again..

see attached.
for the life of me I can't seem to remember just HOW to make the interior elevation nodes stretch to the right (or left) to make the interior elevation that is generated longer (meaning I want to stretch the interior elevations nodes so I can see more of the interior elevation to the right).

it's something to do with some node that you can't see that is somewhere, something...please help.

Versions 18 & 19 is a little bit different than it was before.
You have to be even more particular about the point you select.
See attached image.

In previous versions there was no view limit so you could select the boundary line directly.

In 18 & 19 you can 'TAB' on the boundary /extent line and it will toggle between the 2.
But it is not obvious which one you will select.
You just have to know that a single click will get the extent line but a TAB-click will get the boundary line.
Or turn the horizontal limit off in the IE settings and then you can select the boundary no problem.
Remember to turn the limit back on if it is needed.

Barry.

thanks Barry.
it's very odd....on some interior elevations, I am able to "grab" the node that you are referring to...yet on others, it wont grab it.

Also, how can I switch the "layers" of where the markers are located?
Right now, the markers, when I select them in plan, are "greyed" out with reference to the layer location.

This may depend if the elevation has a limited horizontal range or is infinite.

You have to select the same boundary line to change the layer.

No wonder I still just use the section tool.

Gonna keep bumpin' this one up to the top of the list until this can get resolved.
I still can't seem to move that "invisible" node you all keep talking about to stretch the interior elevation marker.

GUYS!...seriously this is ridiculous.
I've had to "delete" the interior elevation marker along with all it's notes, dims, etc...and recreate it just because I can't stretch the ends?.....COME ON!.

See...that's not a solution. Just use another tool.....it should work...period.
So...after a bit of discussion withe GS tech guys...I downloaded Build 6000.....and now, I can grab that node that was un-grabable so I can stretch the interior elevation viewline edge to where it needs to be adjusted...again, why the interior elevation tag markers don't operate like the all other markers (Section and elevation markers) is unbeknownced (sp?) to me.....maybe it's the same group of techies who worked on the "stair tool" 😉
