Isolate Layer

Hi is there a way to isolate a layer like in AutoCad? I particularly want to isolate all objects on the lighting layer but can't seem to find where to do it. Thanks !

Turn on the Quick Layers Palette

It should be in the Window Menu, near the end of sub-menu, Palettes.

Select something on a layer you want to "isolate" and click "Hide Others' Layer"

This Palette also has its own Undo Que.
