Modeling Rebar

What is the best way to model rebar where you can

1. visualize it on 2d plans

2. visualize in in 3d

3. properly schedule all the items

Maybe morph lines?

Using the cylinder object might be an option too and probably easier to manage than Morph lines. Another option is to try using the railing tool but will need to check the scheduling.
