New roof doesn't show up on roof plan

I have a new roof drawn next to an existing roof, and i set the new roof to "Planned status". I can see the new & existing roofs on the elevations. Its height relationship is more or less in the same range as the existing roof, however, it does not show up on the roof plan. What should I do to the roof roof so that it can show up on the roof plan?
My cut plane height is 4ft.

If you select the roof, you can change the floor plan display of it. You can set how many floors up and down you wish to see the outline as well as how many up and down you wish to see the fill.

Is the renovation filter setup correctly? It could be that the renovation filter is set to existing or something similar on the roof plan but finished or not in use for the elevations?

Thank you,
a follow up question, why is it that some of my overhead roof lines show up as solid when they should be dashed like the others? - see attached for image
