Plotter drivers

We're getting a new plotter (HP T1100) in a couple of days. HP actually calls it a large format printer, not a plotter. It comes with drivers for both Mac & PC. I'm on a Mac running 10.4 Tiger/AC10. Where do I put the new driver to have it accessible for plotting/printing. Is that even possible or am I going to have to use one of the HP drivers listed in Plot Setup?

I just received one last month. It's fabulous!

Upgrade #1086 contains a driver for the T1100.

Select and configure like other plotters you've been used to.

And....you can configure it like a printer thru the printer install normally done with OSX. It's good for Pdf's and other types of large format files.

Well, we're on AC10 - build 1188 and the closest driver that is available in Plot Setup is for a 1050C or a 1050CM in the HP DesignJet series. Will one of
these be suitable? Which one?

Jim,

I'd try your reseller first. Should be able to get you a driver.

You should be able to use the HPT1100 driver on 10. It's just machine language to process plot files.

You'd need it for Plot-flow too.

a driver for the T1100? If so, where? We are having a lot of trouble locating the correct driver. My reseller and HP seem to have no clue about this. Thanks!!!

The print drivers are on the HP install disc that came with the T1100.

The plot drivers are on the upgrade/downloads you can get from Graphisoft's site. http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/

The latest hotfix's; 1086 & 1114 for 11 have the driver.

If your on 10; see if Graphisoft included it in their build 1187 fix.

If not, then see your reseller. They should be able to email a copy.

nsalabes:

I was just curious about your results in tracking down a plotter driver for the HP T1100. Our firm just purchased a T1100 and we have only been able to "print" (not "plot") from it. Although, I have to say, the "print" looks amazingly good and was very fast. Have you noticed a difference between "printing" to the T1100 and "plotting" to it?

If you were able to attain the plotter driver and plot to the T1100, how did you locate the port that the plotter was on? I have only had luck locating the IP address, but no port.

Thanks for your input,

Brian
