Hi!
I'm doing a remodeling and trying to achieve this look. The remodeled house is in color and adjacent is not, see screen shot.
Thank you!

Look into graphic overrides and the renovation tool.

You can override entire elements based on filters.

So if you set up a filter that singles out the existing elements, you can override those completely with a different surface.

Some things to consider: you can't override only the frames of windows and doors, it will also override the glass surfaces.

Same goes for walls and beams and other elements that can have multiple surfaces assigned: it will all be changed to one single surface by graphic overrides.

For this reason, I find it easier to go full schematic if I want to show the difference between renovation statuses and go with primary colours that really pop. At that point it doesn't bother me so much that everything is overridden.

I believe the archicad youtube channel has a view clips detailing the graphic override tool, if you need detailed help getting started.
