Section Along a Polyline

Hi, can anyone tell me if it is possible to create a section along a polyline? I need to draw a section that follows a path (not a straight line). Is such a thing possible?

Well ... It's not clear 100% what you want to obtain.
I can tell you that with the section tool you can have a broken section line (stepped section line), always along the same direction.
Otherwise you can make a 3D using the marquee (a polygon as you like) and create a parallel projection (elevation) from the point of view that you prefer.

Thanks for the response. I realise that my question was a little vague, but it is difficult to explain. The section I want to generate is through a terrain mesh, and the section that I want to follow is 'U' shaped. It is a section through a driveway that doubles back on itself as it climbs the slope - like a switch - back road climbing a mountain. So I want the section to indicate the slope and slope changes along the course of the driveway. So I was hoping to be able to create the section along a polyline that is drawn on the driveway centreline (not straight or stepped), but angled, faceted or even curved. Hope this is clearer now, any help appreciated.

Ok ... Now it's clearer
Actually you cannot achieve that at once
You should draw all the section lines along your path, save them as views and put together in a layout.
Of course your sections should have no projection depth.

Thanks for your help Alemanda. Sounds tedious, but I'll give it go!

There's a youtube video for doing something similar. It's not in English but you should be able to follow it.

Thanks, Looks like a great solution but I can't get the majic wand to respond to to the curved line (or any line). Maybe it's because I'm using Archicad start (not the full version)?

He is using the Interior Elevation tool, not the Section or Elevation tool. They are similar, but not identical.
