Skylight viewable below roof

I'm using the new 20 skylight and can't get it to show below the roof storey without turning on the roof to display below. I just want to show it for reflected ceiling plans below.
I've had to use it as an 'object', which give you the standard floor plan display options, which is dumming down the object.
Am I missing something?

I don't think you're missing anything, and it's probably no consolation, but I've found that for reflected ceiling plans, the skylight itself is not very useful since the ceiling opening bears only a small relationship to the skylight itself.
