Split Textures

Is there any way to colour walls with split textures without having to horizontally split a single wall into two walls.

For example:
I have a 3000 high wall;
0 - 2100 is a shade of grey.
2100 - 3000 is white.

any ideas?

Yes: map this to a material size the height of your wall.

The settings, starting with the Internal engine.
It is mapped to the height of the wall, in this case 2.0 m.
Use 3D align to position it exactly to match the sill position.

Plenty more tricks like this during my day long seminars next week:

Since you might not have Photoshop, here's the actual file you'll need.

Thanks, Link, I should have remembered it.
However, the "LightWorks Bug" referred to in that piece has been fixed.

Hi guys,
How about this:

Create a Profile for a Wall. The Fill in the Profile Manager should be created in such a way that its vertical sides are created from two segments (node in the middle). Then the lower segments are assigned a different material on both sides and that's it. Save it, use it.
You can even set the vertical stretch range so maybe the lower band is always 2 feet high, while the upper band stretches as the Wall's height changes.
