Textures...

This is probably the obvious million dollar question...

Is there a place to get an "all-inclusive" finely-tuned and elaborate texture library for AC? I mean something with the assigned fills (aka complete fill library as well!) and adjusted textures for just about every material out there?

AC's package is quite basic to say the least. We're a smaller firm and ressources are limited when it comes to creating and managing libraries and textures. We've created some of the basic materials we tend to use over time, but there is always the odd new one, and would be nice to have something all done. It seems like creating/managing/adjusting those often takes more time than the architectural process in itself.

Does anyone have something they would be willing to share? Is there a place where people share those things, or is it that it's been laborious for all, and no one wants to share countless hours of work? ...any inputs welcome!... Would be willing to pay to obtain the mother library of all textures!

More particularly, would also LOVE to find some cool "water" textures, some with a 3D texture attached as well for reflectivity ...have created some basic ones over time, but was never really happy with them.

Thanks in advance!

How about the 3-part Building Textures collection available in the GDL Object Depository of ArchiCAD-Talk? It has 2000 textures.

look under ArchiCAD Textures category in the list on the left.

ArchiCAD East has a released a brilliant material library which should be exactly what you're looking for.

I understand they are currently updating it, so expect an even more improved version soon! (With a unified object library too)
