Unable to Airdrop BimX files to iPad running iOS 15.1

As in the title.

Works fine dropping to an iPhone running iOS 14.8.

As far as I know, it changed on the iPad with the upgrade to iOS 15.

I get a momentary (could only read it by pausing a screen recording) popup that say's

I'm sharing the model.... but it doesn't give the "Airdrop, Open With..." prompt.

This sucks as it was the fasted way to transfer files.

Can anyone else confirm if they are having the same issue?

Thanks,

Marc

Hi Karl:

I just now updated my signature ( I updated to Catalina about a week ago in order to run AC25).

Word/PDF/Excel files didn't airdrop BUT... I just did a restart on the iPad and everything works fine now.  Pretty sure it hadn't been restarted since the Mac OS update.  Thanks for the assist 👍🏻

No problem with 15.1 on an iPad Pro ... After right click Share > Air Drop on Mac and selecting my iPad - this pops up on my iPad and selecting BIMx opens the model as it should.

Does Air Drop of other files work normally between your Mac and iPad?  I'm on Big Sur 11.6.1 ... wonder if your signature is up to date, Marc - are you really still on Mojave?  Maybe there's an issue there?  Try air dropping a Word DOC file (e.g.) and see if you're prompted to open Word on your iPad.  (My iPad presents a list of 10 or more apps that can open .doc files in that case.)
