Use Autotext to Show Area of a Zone

Hi there, is it possible to link a zones area to autotext? This would allow me to place my autotext on my sheet and have it update when I change the area of a specific zone. Thanks.

Any reason why you are not using a zone stamp with the area text turned on?

Hey Barry,
It just a preference that my firm has. A zone stamp is definitely a good backup plan if there is no other option. Here is a photo of what I wish to achieve. Of course as of recent, I have been using dumb text, but would love to be able to use autotext to display the area of a specific zone.

Unfortunately you can't label a zone, but you can drag the zone stamp outside of the zone.
However you can only have one zone stamp per zone.

You can do the same with a fill and turn on the area text option.

Or I would look at setting up a schedule to show the area you want.
The schedule can't be placed directly on the plan (which is the biggest problem).
But it can be placed on the layout page so you will see it there.
I set that layout page to the trace reference of my plan so I can see the areas and the extent of my drawing page as well as any schedules I want on that plan.

Thank you, that is a very good Idea Barry. My firm will be very happy with this info.
