Using standard notes across multiple projects

I am tired of copying and pasting standardized notes from one project to another. I thought I could set up in a template, but the template does not update when I change notes or details. How are people using standardized notes and details across multiple projects? Modules? Importing drawings?

Hi gjparadigm. Have you considered placing PDFs in your layouts?

Unfortunately the images are missing in the first link, but you'll get the idea.

Thank you for responding. I do use PDF's for standard City details, but I wanted to be able to change notes and such on a more consistent basis since the City always has a different comment depending on the reviewer. Right now I am using a separate .PLN file that is linked to the drawing, but sometimes that causes lagging issues.

I may just have to go with a linked PDF that can change as needed.

I use a dwg file for notes that i attach to the template as a worksheet and then place it in the layouts as needed. This way, if i update the dwg it updates everywhere (of course, if you add many more notes you have to adjust the layout size, but thats a minor inconvenience. Hope that helps!
