White painted masonry

I'm trying to create a surface of white painted masonry.
Any suggestions?

I've moved your post to the "Presentation - Rendering and Multimedia" forum.

See the attached screenshot for your specific question, as the library includes a variety of white brick materials. (There are more in the extra library included if you are on subscription.)

Just click New... then New from Catalog to browse the catalog. You can see in the screenshot several white brick materials to choose from. You can further customize the appearance once you have added one to your surfaces.

More generally, you can take any of the materials and modify the colors and/or edit the texture images in a photo editor to get the precise material you want. In this case, one of the delivered materials is probably good enough? 🙂

Thnx for the info.
I've already tried a new surface from the catalog.
The results aren't satisfied.
The masonry joints has to be white aswell.

In the 3D window or in a cinerender?

Here's my take on it:

in the 3d window:
- take the brick pattern you like from the AC library or the interwebs
- open it into your favorite photo editor (i use photoshop)
- desaturate it
- add a curves adjustment layer and raise the black point (the bottom left one) straight up until you have satisfactory results
- create a new material and use this as it's texture

in a cinerender:
- easiest to duplicate an already existing material with colored bricks from the surface library
- make sure there is a bump map applied (if its an existing material it should be there)
- go to color and change texture from layer/image to color
- assign the color you wish and render away

Hope this helps,

The default brick textures in Cinerender are quite convenient as you can easily modify the primary, grain and mortar colours as they are all procedurally generated.

Edit a texture in a photo editor and use that for the Color channel.

Or create one online from one of the many brick manufacturers / resellers offering texture generator: https://daasbaksteen.nl/nl/Texturengenerator/Texturengenerator-gevelstenen/page.aspx/89 for example.

Remember, that the 3d window uses different textures to when you render. If you are wanting to end up doing that, it would be advised to build up or find a white brick texture with the additional channels.
