a nice lawn

I've been struggling to create a realistic lawn /grass to use in my 3D model.
can anyone supply me with something fab?

Hi,

There has been 50 views and still no tips?..
Here is mine. What works best for me is combination of mesh modeling for ground (even if it supposed to be flat) plus seamless grass texture on it, and where the model meet the ground - grass object for melt effect. This way you keep your model "light" and have natural look. Under this topic you will find lots of sites with free textures and objects (thanks Frederic )

Or you can always grab your camera and do it yourself, it is not so difficult. Have fun.

Oki, and from where do I get the grass object (meaning I liked it!!!).

Try this one:

You can use built-in archi's 3ds converter to bring it into the plan. Be careful, some of those are too complex and become useless after conversion.
