zone's renovation filter cannot be changed

How do I change the zone's renovation filter to "new"? Its set to "to be demolished" and doesn't allow editing. Instead it says "use Palette to set default" however I cannot figure out what palette offers this change.

In your response please list the directory path to unearth this palette.

For example: Options > Element Attributes > Zone Categories

You are after the Renovation palette (see attached image).
You need this to set the default for any default tool where you have not yet placed the element.
Of course once you have placed and element you can simply select it and change the reno status.

Thank you very much! I was trying to change settings prior to putting a zone in because I couldn't see the placed one due to the renovation filter setting shutting it off as I drew it! I was able to see it and edit it and they use that as a template for the all rest.

I believe the idea is to keep the renovation palette open on your screen.
Then you choose if you want 'new', 'existing' or 'to be demolished' when ever you want to place a new element as this will set the default for all tools.
That way you won't need to use an existing zone as your template.
