Hello all,
I'm trying to use the CW Door Sliding 26, with a Leaf that has an "Editable Grid" in a curtain wall panel.
Everything looks good until I try to edit the grid in the Leaf. My edits are not committed by the software.
Please refer to the attached video. Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong here?
Bonus Round:
I decided to try another avenue: make a custom door leaf. At the end of the attached video, I execute the Convert Selection To Morph(s) command. The operation does not retain the apparent level detail in the resultant morph. It also changes the position of the Opening Line. Bonus points for any ideas about what might be going on here!
I thought the "A" in CAD stood for "Aided", am I right? 😜

Having no issue with it in AC22 AUS 7000, or AC27 INT TP 2000 / 2021 on Win10. Which OS are you using?

Hiya,
I'm using AC26 3001 NZE on Windows 10.
Thank you for your comment, you've prompted me to try the operation on:
AC25 4013 NZE (does not work)
AC23 3003 INT (works! Including the Bonus Round)
I tried copying and pasting a successfully edited Leaf from AC23 into AC25 / AC26. Any edits I had made to the custom Leaf copied over successfully, but subsequent manipulations remained dysfunctional.

Copy pasting an edited leaf? As in copying the CW from one file to another? Maybe try exporting the AC23 "Editable Grid" leaf with a new name and loading it into AC26? If you use the "Open Object" command with the curtain wall selected, it should open all the relevant objects.
Ling.

Ah yes, apologies for being unclear: I copied an entire Curtain Wall which had an edited Leaf within it.
I would like to give your suggestion a try. I have found I have found CW Door 23.gsm in my Library, but I'm struggling to find the "Editable Grid" Leaf in my Library.
Do you happen to have any tips on how to locate it?

As I said, select the curtain wall and use the "Open Object" command.
File => Libraries & Objects => Open Object

I see now that I misunderstood your comment (although I had managed to open the object, I did not see a Leaf object).
So:
Unfortunately, the problem persists.
I'm definitely curious to get the best out of Archicad but I'm going to slowwwwly back out of the rabbit hole this time. I want to design architecture, not troubleshoot software. I shall shrug, and move on with life.
Thank you for your help and suggestions!

So are you saying that you have the 26 library loaded.
You place a curtain wall and change a panel to "CW Door 26".
You choose the "Editable Grid" option for that panel.
But you do not have the editable hotspots to adjust the grid?
I also tried it with the "CW Door Sliding 26" as well and it works for me.
Do you have just the 26 library loaded?
Is this a newly placed curtain wall or one that has come from an old plan from an old version?
I am not sure why you are talking about a version 23 object when you are working in 26.
Barry.

version 23 object when you are working in 26
It was just that it works for them in 23, but not 26. So we were just testing to see if anything had changed.
