Door Window label 27 displays zone in elevation, not layout

Door window table shows zone number in the elevation:

But not when placed on a layout:

Why not? Doesn't Layout display the view?

Here's the Label's relevant settings.

Sorry, I  put this on the wrong board.  Probably should be posted to Documentation, but not sure how to move it.

Thanks for any insights.

Select the drawing on the layout and choose "Open Source View".

Does it show the zone name now?

If not then the view settings are incorrect (zone layer turned off maybe?).

If it does show correctly, I am not sure of the problem without trying this myself, which I can't do just at the moment.

Exactly the problem!  Zone number displays properly in source view, but not when source view is placed on layout.

Hi Nathan: I am having this same problem. Did you find a solution?

If you open the source view and that is correct, then all I can think of is to delete the drawing from the layout, and drag the view back on to replace it.

Thanks Barry. I tried that. I even recreated the interior elevation and the same thing happened. It is very strange since it appears very specific. One door in the same room works and the other cannot find the zone. Both doors swing into the room and have the same settings except for size. Anyway, we were trying to get a permit set out so I just used text rather than a door label,
