I think I posted this somewhere else, but can not find it. All attributes used in all elements should be available as editable parameters. Every project I work on has a graphic override for marker line type. When (not if) attribute indexing gets screwy, markers show dashed, double dashed, squiggly, etc.
Even if attributes are re-indexed, that hasn't reliably fixed it, and often causes a domino effect in the rest of the file. We just need to be able to change the markers line types, for all markers.
Operating system used: Mac Apple Silicon

I'm going to give this a bump, since it's obviously gone completely unnoticed. This needs to become a high priority, and not just for markers. If there is an attribute that defines an element's appearance, that attribute absolutely needs to be adjustable. It is not just a matter of overriding the line types with graphic overrides; I'm finding my detail markers now have an underlying "sketch" pen that bleeds through and is not effectively being overridden by the GO's.
PLEASE at least give some idea of if/when this will be fixed? this is an embarrassment that I have to tell clients that there is nothing they can do to control the appearance of a key part of their documents. just plain unacceptable.
End hard coded attribute indexes, for all elements. Before AC28? Please!

and for the markers that DO have a line type control, why do they only work for some of the markers line types?
it appears to be using line type 52 for this marker, why not att #1?
AND
there is no line type 52 in the template, so there is no logical reason it would be adopting a line type that doesn't even exist outside the ootb environment. But all this is easily resolved (for the users, not for GS, I'm sure), if all attributes in all elements are soft scripted with access to parameter controls.
