dimension locators showing up in AC29

I just downloaded AC29 and I'm getting these temporary blue dimension markers showing up in plan whe I click on a wall, for instance. They are incredibly annoying, sometime block the node I'm trying to click on and I cannot figure out how to make them go away! Please help!

you can disable Distance Guides from the view settings:
