Feature requests MEP

Hi there, thank you for the new improvments;) some inputs from the perspective of my customers after testing the MEP-tools. In Switzerland many Architects are modeling some parts of the canalisation too, so the MEP-tool could be a pretty cool tool for that too. Some feature requests from my side:

  • Possibility to change % for a hole element and not for each line and each point.
  • End up a pipe with a vertical cutbimdo_0-1724510839792.png
  • Setup the elbow in a different way, because in Switzerland we’ve some Norms for canalization which aren’t working with a radius.bimdo_1-1724510867988.png
  • Floorplan should be more symbolic, we don't want to see each circle... (maybe it's already possible?)bimdo_2-1724510916394.png
  • Is it a volume for the clash-detection for example in solibri? When the element isn't solid, it's more work for setting up the rules.... because there's the possibility, that something is inside the element in early stages.
  • Counting of elbows, it exists always as 90°, 60°, 45°, 30°, but when we model it like that, it will count 2x45° for a 90°-element and not once a 90°-element. That problem goes with the radius-problem above.bimdo_0-1724511159996.png
  • Missing library parts like revision openings, pipe clamp, original product library for example Geberit, Hilti & co.
  • Missing library parts for canalization are sewerage shaft, floor channel
  • For the construction place we would need to export points and a line-model of the bottom-line (MVD-option). Instead of lines it could be a volumetric vertical rectangle, a bounding box would not solve the problem, because we need an axis on the construction place.
